The posters for the film, which featured her "clad in nothing, but two placards tactfully placed to cover her body", angered people and a group of protestors tore the posters and set them on fire on 20 July 2013 in Mumbai. The general secretary of Shiv Sena Chitrapat has objected to Pandey's skin showing in the advertisements, saying, "We find the poster highly vulgar and derogatory and won't allow such hoardings
